  • Principal's Welcome Message

    Dear Valley View Families,

Welcome to the greatest elementary school in the world! We are eager to spend this school year with you.

Safety is always a priority. Our district has provided each school site with the necessary safety and sanitation resources needed. Our classrooms and our entire campus are equipped with air purifiers, water bottle filling stations, and each evening the campus is sanitized using Clorox 360 machines. Valley View will continue to have the support of the Riverside Police Department and our assigned School Resource Officer.

We will be communicating through ParentSquare. Using this tool helps to create a clear path of communication for families and all district and school staff. Please accept the invitation emailed to you and login via the Parent Square website or the free app for your phone or tablet.

Because of your positive presence and strong involvement, and the commitment from our staff, we continue to make Valley View the Greatest Elementary School in the World! We are looking forward to a continued partnership with our amazing Viking families as we work together to educate, empower and prepare all scholars for college or career!

We are looking forward to a rewarding and memorable school year!

    With Gratitude,
Mrs. Vaughan Principal  &  Mr. Anaya, Assistant Principal

    Drop Off
You are welcome to drop your child off at 7:30am for breakfast when the orange gate is still open. Options are to park on a street and walk your child up to the school gates.
-If you want to drop-off from your vehicle, pull up to the curb on Gramercy Pl., next to the sidewalk where a staff member will escort your child across the crosswalk between 7:45-8:00am.
-If you wish to stay in your car, you may use Gedney Way and drop your child off near the back gate.

    Pick Up/Dismissal
    * Kinder and 1st grade teachers have their own pick-up process to ensure our youngest scholars get to their families. Please make sure to speak with your child's teacher if you do not already know the location to meet.
**Students in grades 2-5 may be collected on the sidewalk in front of the school, at the back gate, or in another location the parent determines safe to meet.
-🚗The campus parking lot will be closed to both parking and drive through. Please plan to park on the street and walk your student to the front of the school.
-🚶‍♀️Please predetermine and discuss where you will meet your 2nd-5th grade student prior to the 1st day of school. Many families are using the shaded, grassy area in front of the school on Gramercy to meet their children. Staff will escort students across the crosswalk to this area from 2:15-2:30pm.
-The back gate is open for pick up from 2:15 - 2:30pm.

📢Please have your child bring a labeled water bottle EVERY day to school. We no longer have drinking fountains and instead have water bottle filling stations.📢

School Annoucements

  • ps

Our school uses a free app/computer program called
    ps

This app allows us to communicate community flyers, district news, upcoming school events, notifications, and class information. Families are able to personally message their teachers and the School Counselor in private messages, sing up for appointments or volunteer opportunities, participate in surveys, and so much more.

We ask all parents/guardians to sign up for a ParentSquare account and download the app on their phone. We also ask the parents/guardians to check it daily in order to stay connected in their child's educational journey.

For more information on how you can get connected, please contact our school office or your student's teacher. Thank you!
