Sergeant First Class Kevin Brooks

Sergeant Brooks is the Commandant of The La Sierra High School Eagle Battalion. Before becoming an educator, Sergeant Brooks served 26 years in the US Army Entering Service just after high school in the fall of 1996 and retiring in October 2022. Sergeant Brooks served as an Army Recruiter for 13 years with the US Army Recruiting Command and was the Las Sierra High School recruiter from 2016-2021. His connection with the campus and faculty and staff, made the perfect match for transitioning from Recruiter to Teacher.

SFC Brooks has a passion for  making  a difference in young people’s lives, and feels blessed to have held positions to do so, as a recruiter and now as a teacher. His passion for helping students and young adults find success led him to publish a book in 2021, “Post-Pandemic Guide to Millennial Success.” A practical guide to assist students and young adults find success in the 21st century.

Family is of upmost importance to Sergeant Brooks, a father of 3 daughters and one of whom proudly serves in the US Army. For Sergeant Brooks, the Army was his family, now the Cadet Corps is his family. To all the students of LSHS California Cadet Corps, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!
