    On Thursday, May 28, the AUSD Board of Education appointed the following people: Erik Ramirez, Assistant Principal, Villegas Middle School; Chad Freeman, Assistant Principal, Hillcrest High School; Marisela Recendez, Principal, Foothill Elementary School; and Francisco Gonzalez, Principal, Terrance Elementary School. All positions effective July 1, 2020 (Release May 28)

    In a message to Seniors sent May 10, 2020, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Allan Mucerino announced a curbside “Drive Up, No Contact Graduation” event for any senior who chooses to participate. In addition to a Virtual Graduation for seniors who choose to participate (Release May 12)

    On Monday, May 11, the AUSD Board of Education appointed the following people: Jenny Burcham as an Assistant Principal, Villegas Middle School; Alejandro Cisneros as the Coordinator of Parent Engagement; Ian Fish as the Assistant Director of Student Services; and Tanya Gillick as the Coordinator of Mental Health.
