COBRA Information

  • There may be other options, besides COBRA continuation coverage for employees and dependents who are terminated from group coverage. You have the option to purchase coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, which was established under the Affordable Care Act. Should you chose to purchase coverage through the Marketplace, you may be eligible for a tax credit that lowers your monthly premiums right away and you can see what your premium, deductibles and out-of-pocket costs will be before you make a decision to enroll. Being eligible for COBRA does not limit your eligibility for coverage or tax credit through the Marketplace.
