•  Career Pathways

    What is a pathway?

A CTE pathway is a sequence of two or more CTE courses within a student’s area of career interest. Pathways are designed to connect high school classes to college, industry certifications, and/or a career.

CTE pathways are made up of introductory, concentrator and capstone courses. In order for a student to receive the full benefit of the courses and complete the pathways, all courses within the pathways must be completed.

How do we choose which pathways are offered?

The pathways offered are determined by local industry need. Pathways are developed with the input of industry professionals to ensure teachers are using a curriculum that includes current industry standards and practices as well as California CTE standards.

Pathways are continually modified to fit industry needs. As industry needs change, the pathways offered by the district may change.
