  • Principal Weekly Updates

    May 9, 2022:

Hello, members of the Norte Vista Community,

I hope my messages continue to find you in good health and spirits.

First, parents, with the end of school just 14 days away, I want to continue to emphasize how important it is that your students pass each and every class, to stay on track to graduate on time. I will again strongly encourage you to contact your student's teachers, counselors, or administrators to discuss your student's grades. Parents of seniors, this is even more important for you, as your senior student has only 12 school days remaining to ensure they have the required credits to graduate. Remember, only those seniors that have been cleared to graduate by their school counselor, and per district requirements, will be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.

If you have any questions about your student/s credits, or if they are on track to graduate, do not hesitate to email or call your student/s guidance counselor.

Next, please continue to remember, that as COVID numbers fall and have less of an impact on school activities, we need our families to health screen each and every morning before sending your students to school. Students with any of the following symptoms should stay home from school until a negative COVID test can be confirmed and the symptoms improve:

    • Fever (100.4°F/38°C or higher) or chills
    • Cough
    • Headache
    • Sore throat
    • Loss of taste or smell that started in the last 10 days (Children may say that food “tastes bad” or “tastes funny”)
    • Feeling out of breath or having a hard time breathing
    • Diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle aches or body aches

Finally, if you have any questions about summer school, please use the link below to determine who your student's counselor is, then email that counselor to determine if your student did register for summer school, needs summer school, and if they are not registered to be placed on the wait list. Summer school is a great opportunity to earn credits, or in some instances, even get ahead with credits.

As always, thank you for continuously supporting "The Best High School in the World."

Please continue to read our Superintendent's weekly message, visit the AUSD Main Website, and visit the COVID19 Reopening Facts (FAQs), as well as the Riverside County Public Health System for the latest updates on COVID-19 data and the reopening of schools. Also, please take a moment to review our just released 2021 School Accountability Report Cards below, in English and Spanish.
