Through intentional goal setting, we are increasing literacy, all the while ensuring excellence is achieved through equity and determination. The needs of individual learning styles are met while maintaining high expectations and modifying teaching and learning as needed.

Valley View Elementary School is an AVID Elementary school, whose tenants center around college and career readiness for ALL students. AVID's WICOR - Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading to Learn strategies provide our scholars with access to rigorous curriculum and prepare them to be successful for middle school, high school, and college or career. 

Valley View is one of two Alvord elementary schools implementing Dual Language Immersion classes. Alvord's Dual Language program is quickly growing, allowing us to be competitive with surrounding districts. 

As a No Excuses University (NEU) school, we believe that after high school comes college. Should a child wish to pursue opportunities after high school by attending a college/university or trade school, they will have been prepared with the skills and resources to do so.

Valley View believes extracurricular opportunities are important, which is why our school offers engaging after-school clubs and activities that provide a well-rounded educational experience.
