Main Street Transitional Living Program
AUSD partners with the Main Street Transitional Living Program to support homeless youth and their efforts to end human trafficking. Main Street is a 15-bed apartment complex located in downtown Riverside. Main Street provides emergency and long-term shelter, intervention and outreach services to runaway, homeless, exploited, and other youth in crisis. SafeHouse serves as co-chair of the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking task force ensuring comprehensive care to all trafficking victims – minors and adults, domestic and foreign nationals. Services are available to older homeless youth ages 18-22 for up to 18-months, with five apartments set aside for Permanent Supportive Housing for youth ages 18-24. These youth, who must be certified as disabled and homeless are able to stay as long as they need to in order to realize their dreams.
