Athletic Director

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Mayorga

Hello La Sierra Eagles,

My name is Richard Mayorga, I grew up in Riverside County. I attended West Valley High School in the city of Hemet, CA from 2006 to 2010. While attending high school, I was a four sport Varsity Athlete and those sports I participated in were Football, Soccer, Baseball and Track & Field. I was All-County for Football, All-League for Soccer, and All-State for Track & Field. I was able to participate in Football and Track & Field for a Division 2 school. Upon graduating from college, I joined the United States Army as a Military Police Officer and served two deployments overseas. I am still currently serving as an Army Reservists and my current job in the United States Army Reserves is a United States Army Drill Sergeant. I started teaching in 2019 before stepping in the Athletic Director position here at La Sierra High School.

Participating in sports have played a major role in molding and shaping the person I am today. Sports enforce and teach discipline that lays the foundations of who we are. I believe the lessons learned in high school athletics provide student athletes with the ability to learn, grow, and achieve greatness as they step into the next chapters of their lives.

The La Sierra Athletic program is committed to excellence in academics and athletics. We are dedicated to pursuing victory with honor and adhering to the rules of competition and sportsmanship. Our players will work hard on and off the field to prepare themselves to be the River Valley League Champions, CIF playoff berths and continuing their careers at the collegiate level.

Looking forward to an incredible year!
