    Do you want to help make the world a better place? Are you worried about those who live in extreme poverty, especially children?  Why not help Norte Vista's National Honors Society kick off their very first holiday drive for Casa de Los Pobres. This charity works to help those who live in extreme poverty in Tijuana. For this project, we are focused on helping young children, and our goal is to provide them with 30 backpacks full of hygenial products and school supplies.  In order to do so, we need your help!  So, please send all donations to room 901. If you have any questions, please feel free to join NHS during 2nd lunch this and every Wednesday or contact Mrs. Villanueva in Room 901.  Denise Lua of the ​​Class of 2019 appreciates all help given towards her CAS Project.

    Chess Club is going to have a Chess Tournament scheduled for TOMORROW, November 16th.  All interested participants can sign up in Room 908 after school or during Chess Club – which meets Thursdays after school.  The deadline to sign up for the tournament is this Thursday.  It is free to enter.

    Attention all Staff and Students!  Can Wars is back!!  The NVHS Global would like to invite EVERY student and staff member on campus to participate in this great community event!!  The War happens on Friday, November 17th during 4th period intermission.  HOUSE competition….points to be earned…Let’s make a difference in our community!!  Time to start bringing all non-perishable items to your 4th period class!  Questions?  See Ms. Bush

    Attention Students:  If you are interested in participating in the 2017 Talent Show, you MUST audition first.  Auditions for the Talent Show will take place Tuesday, November 28th in room 201 during BOTH Lunches.  Please be ready to perform your ENTIRE ACT with ALL participants present.  The actual Talent Show will take place in the PAC on Wednesday, December 13th at 7pm.  Tickets will go on sale following auditions, and will be $5 each.

    Attention Braves: Some IB students and Best Buddies teamed up on a CAS project for Inktober. Inktober involves drawing for the 31 days of October following a word prompt for each day. Artwork is currently being displayed in the Braves Lounge and the front office. Stop by to check it out.

    The High School Leadership Program offers rewards to high school students who support the American Red Cross mission through a choice of engagement opportunities such as donating blood, volunteerism and recruiting family members and friends to donate.

     

    The program is managed by the Red Cross including the tracking, recognition and reward fulfillment, offering a convenient option for school officials. We encourage you to promote this exciting opportunity with your students and empower them to become lifesavers and leaders in the community. Participation for students is as easy as it is life-changing.

    Attention SENIORS: Thank you cards are available for our Annual Appreciation Week.  Please stop by the ASB window, and get your Thank you Card for this year’s Appreciation Week.  Remember you can ONLY write 1 Thank you card to someone OFF campus, but you can write as many Thank you cards to anyone ON-CAMPUS as you like.  All Thank you cards are due to the ASB window BEFORE we leave for Winter Break.  The envelope must include the following information:

     

    1.) YOUR Name

    2.) Recipient’s Name

    3.) School Recipient was last known to work at.

    4.) Grade and Year you last were with the Recipient.
