  • STUDENTS: Just a reminder…

     

    1.) All Students MUST have their ID’s on hand AT ALL TIMES! This is NON-NEGOTIOABLE!  All transactions will require your id, including, but NOT limited to: LUNCH, ASB purchases, voting, etc.

    2.) HATS of ANY kind, MALE and FEMALE ALIKE are strictly prohibited.  They will be confiscated on SIGHT!

    3.) ALL PAID EVENTS are often a  Minimum of $5 more for ALL students w/out an ASB card.  ASB cards can purchased through the ASB window for $30…TRUST ME, you save 6 – 10 times that amount throughout the year!

    4.) If you own an off-campus pass, please be sure to return to 5th Period on-time.  Habitual Tardiness will lead to confiscation of the off-campus pass, and it will cost $15 to replace it once the privilege has been returned to you.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If you have a job, you must have a work permit.  If you have a permit, it will expire TOMORROW - 8/18.  I repeat:  ALL WORK PERMITS EXPIRE TOMORROW, AUGUST 18th.  To get a new one, see Ms. Anita in the Main Office.

    Mrs. Denbo will be collecting supplies for refugees during the month of August. A list of supplies needed will be posted on the door for 609 and each teacher will have a list delivered to his/her box to post. Thank you for whatever you can donate.

    Attention All Freshmen Interested in applying for ASB this year.  Completed Applications are due to the ASB Office no later than TOMORROW, August 18th at 2:30 p.m.  Applications are available through the ASB window during lunch and AFTER SCHOOL.  Please know that interviews will take place TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, August 22nd and 23rd during Lunch in Room 201.  Look for your name on the Interview Sheet.

    Attention ALL STUDENTS & STAFFULTY 16 Years or OLDER:  It’s that time of year again…BLOOD DRIVE Time.  If you are 16 years or older, and would like to donate Blood, please head on over to the GYM NOW.   ALL 16 Year olds must have a parental consent form signed by a legal guardian BEFORE they can give blood.  You can pick up the form from the Blood Drive table in the QUAD during BOTH Lunches or through the ASB window.  Staffulty, as always, you just come on over as soon as you can, and we’ll move you to the front of the line.

    Attention ALL SENIORS:  If you haven’t heard, your Senior Luau will take place NEXT FRIDAY, August 25th  in the Pool area from 2nd lunch until 2:20 p.m.  Prices are $10 w/ ASB; $15 w/o; and $20 at the door.  Tickets are available through the ASB window BEFORE and AFTER School and during LUNCH.  Come get some great Hawaiian Food, and SWIM 5th and 6th period away with you fellow Classmates.

    Attention All Interested Students of Dance: There will be Dance Team Tryouts TOMORROW at 4pm in room 201.  Also, for ALL returners, practices will take place EVERY Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Room 201 at 4p.m. as well.

    Do you like Soccer and Swimming?  If you do then you should play water polo!  There was a boys and girls water polo and swim team interest meeting YESTERDAY.  Go to room 126 and see Coach Ballard if you would like to join.

    Attention Seniors:: We are now taking orders for Senior Gear through the ASB window.  You must PAY Lynn in ASB, and bring your receipt to Room 201 AFTER SCHOOL so I can write down your sizes.  If you already have a receipt, just go to room 201.

    Students, if you haven’t done so already, and you qualify for FREE and/or REDUCED Lunch, please be sure to complete the application.  Not only does it help with Lunch fees, but you can reduce your AP & IB test cost to just $5.00. Truly, this is a WISE INVESTMENT!

    Attention All Students: The Reach Higher College Club will be having its first meeting of the year, which will take place in room 115 after school on Wednesday August, 23. If you are interested or just thinking about going to college after you graduate, this club is for you. We will be discussing applications, scholarships, and financial aid. We will also be visiting universities in Southern California. We meet once a month, ALL ARE WELCOME.

    Attention All Students that have Mr. Dean for an EE Advisor.  In the next 2 weeks all of Mr. Dean's EE students need to make an appointment to meet with him to discuss their papers.  Every Day except for Tuesdays there will be two appointment slots open after school to discuss your progress.  Please come by room 117 as soon as possible to sign up for your appointment.
