Thank you to all of our students and their parents and the many local runners and volunteers who participated in this past Saturday's Alvord Education Foundation (AEF) Spirit Run to raise money for scholarships. We had a huge turnout for the 5K run and 1M walk. Thank you Mr. Zack Earp for leading the AEF and thank you to Riverside City Council Members' Gaby Plascencia, Steve Hemenway, and Jim Perry for participating in the event and supporting our students. It was a great day!
The Alvord community invested in the school district this past November by voting to approve Measure J. In accordance with State law, we are seeking applicants to serve on our Measure J Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee. Members of the committee are responsible for informing the public and the Alvord Board of Education about the expenditure of bond proceeds for Measure J. The committee meets quarterly to ensure bond projects are in alignment with project plans. Annually, the CBOC provides a written report summarizing the committee’s proceedings and activities.
If you are interested in learning more about the CBOC or obtaining an application, please email CBOC@alvordschools.org with your inquiries.
