Anthem PPO Changes

Starting July 1, 2024, Keenan Employee Benefits Third Party Administrator (TPA) will be your new medical benefit administrator. Keenan will handle all aspects of your PPO medical claims, including processing, eligibility, customer service and ID cards. There will be no benefit changes, however, members will be receiving a new ID card for both medical and prescription drug benefits. Members will need to provide a copy of this new card to all medical and prescription providers to ensure appropriate applicaiton of benefits.

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for the upcoming benefit year will take place from Monday, May 6, 2024, through Friday, May 17, 2024. This year will be a passive enrollment. This means all current plan elections will roll over to the July 1, 2024 benefit year EXCEPT for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Accounts (DCFSA). You must re-enroll in these products each year with American Fidelity per IRS guidelines.

All benefit eligible employees are encouraged to log into our online benefits portal, Benefit Bridge, to verify personal information, upload required documentation for dependents, and to make changes. If you need assistance with the online enrollment potal, call the Benefit Bridge customer service hotline at 800-814-1862 Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Certificated Employee Benefits

Certificated employees and their eligible dependents may enroll in Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage at no cost. The District currently offers Certificated employees the choice of two medical plans:

  • Anthem Blue Cross PPO
  • Kaiser DHMO

Additionally, Certificated staff are currently offered Delta Dental PPO for dental coverage, as well as Eye Med PPO for vision coverage.

Employees who are eligible for medical coverage through a spouse or parent may be eligible to opt out of coverage and enroll in Complete Care. Complete care reimburses enrollees for eligible out of pocket medical expenses, such as deductibles and co-pays. Additionally, enrollees are provided with a $200.00 per month enrollment incentive. 

All Certificated staff are provided with a $20,000 life insurance policy, as well as a short term Disability policy. To enroll in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, please visit Benefit Bridge. To enroll in Disability, please complete and return the enrollment form. 

Mental Health Resources

In addition to the coverage of mental health services provided in the District’s medical plans, effective 3/1/24 all certificated staff and their family members are eligible to receive mental health and life support services through SupportLinc. This program offers guidance to help you address and resolve everyday issues at no cost to you or your family. Features include:

  • In the moment support. Reach a licensed clinician by phone 24/7/365 when you call for assistance to help resolve work-related pressures, depression, stress, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, substance use or other emotional health concerns.
  • short-term counseling. Receive a referral for in-person or virtual (video) counseling sessions with a counselor who is available at a time and place that is most convenient for you.
  • Coaching. Get assistance from a coach to boost your emotional fitness, learn healthy habits, establish new routines, build your resilience and more. 
  • Work-life benefits. Access expert consultations for financial, leagl, and identify theft issues. Work-life specialists also provide referrals that help address everyday needs such as child or elder care, pet care, home improvement, auto repair, travel, education, and housing needs.
  • Web portal and mobile app. Get help navigating life’s challenges from the convenience of your computer, phone or tablet. Simply create a personal profile to access all the valuable information and resources your program offers. 
  • Text therapy. Exchange text messages, voice notes, and resources Monday – Friday with a licensed counselor through the Textcoach mobile and desktop app.
  • Self-guided digital therapy. Strengthen your mental health and overall wellbeing at your own pace with Animo’s self-guided digital resources and daily inspiration to foster meaningful and lasting behaviour change.
  • Digital group support. Join confidential moderated group sessions hosted by licensed counselors through the Virtual Support Connect platofrm on topics such as stress, grief, mindfulness, preventing burnout and more.
  • Mental Health Navigator. Take the guesswork out of your emotional fitness! Complete a short assessment and receive personalized guidance for accessing program support and resources.
