Welcome to Alvord Unified School District

My name is Allan Mucerino. I have served the Alvord community and Alvord Board of Education as the Superintendent of Schools since 2018. Our motto: Every Student. By Name, exemplifies our committment to inclusivity, equity, respect and care. We srtive to deliberately cultivate school and classroom environments in each of our 23 schools which all students feel acknowledged and valued. 

It’s also important to the Board of Education and members of the Alvord team that our parents, guardians, and community members at-large also feel valued and included. To that end, we communicate transparently and with a cadence that our community has come to appreciate and rely on. Among those platforms, I write a weekly message in The Round-Up, a newsletter that is sent to all students, staff, and families and is also accessible by community members. It’s designed to keep everyone current with what’s happening in Alvord. We also communicate through Parent Square, a single platform for all communications, from our mass notification system and mobile app to online conferences, permission slips, and other documents. Ensuring our entire education community is connected to us and to each other is a priority.

• Tuesday, May 28: Alvord & Mission View High Schools
• Wednesday, May 29: La Sierra HS
• Thursday, May 30: Hillcrest HS
• Friday, May 31: Norte Vista HS

Summer School, June 5 - June 28
