In Elementary Education, we are dedicated to the success of our students through curriculum, instruction, assessment, and climate that centers student learning. Professional development and training allow for continuous improvement with strategies and skills to foster each student’s ownership of their learning, while aligning with state and federal educational standards. Collaboration among Elementary teachers, counselors, and administrators ensures that effective curriculum, instruction, and supports are provided to our elementary school students.
Our schools’ Academics, Visual and Performing Arts programs, and Afterschool programs are designed to enrich the elementary school journey. We will continue to strive for success through these programs, as well as all responsibilities under Elementary Leadership. Our vision is to create safe learning environments that meet our students’ academic, social and emotional needs with the goal of helping every Alvord student find their own version of success in life.
