Budgets & Financial Transparency

Alvord Unified School District is committed to financial transparency and public access to financial information about all district operations.

With support from the Board of Education, district budgeting is managed by Business Services professionals who specialize in public-agency finances.  The Department of Business Services tracks, vets and analyzes all revenue and spending.  The Board of Education directly approves expenditures in public session.

The Board, with support from Business Services, ensures the district remains:

  • Fiscally responsible
  • Financially stable
  • Compliant with Board policy and state of California requirements
  • In line with industry standards for K-12 education
